Godi is conceptualized and designed by Sajan Raj Kurup, one of the world’s top creative professionals. He is the founder of Creativeland Asia, CLA Designlabs, Saintfarm and Ventureland, and the owner of RollingStone India.

Kurup’s inspiration for Godi came from his childhood memories of resting in the comfort of his saree-clad mother’s lap. Nothing felt more relaxing. Nothing more reassuring. Memories that every Indian can relate to.

It was while designing the Creatorland office that Kurup built the first set of furniture. It was soon a phenomenon, with everybody who walked in, asking him to build a piece for them. And thus was born Godi, the brand. Handcrafted with love and teakwood. Hand-clad with affection and silk.
